Students in Indigenous Studies at Sparwood Secondary had the opportunity to learn the traditional art of Ktunaxa pine needle basket making with Faye and Dianne. 

Through their guidance, students explored the cultural significance, patience, and skill involved in creating these beautiful handcrafted baskets. This hands-on experience allowed students to deepen their understanding of Ktunaxa traditions while learning directly from knowledgeable community members.
